Dear Sir/Madam.
I see the amalgamations have gone ahead: a big mistake!
To me personally, it feels that my family connections with the Army have
been wiped out: I had relatives in either The Black Watch or the KOSB
going back several generations. I also had family connections with the
Devon & Dorsets - yet another connection wiped-out in the anonymous
"super-regiments", whose name I have already forgotten..
With this new name: all I can think of is a Dodgy War in Iraq, paid for
by Tony Blair & Gordon Brown cutting our defences and destroying the
very essence of what has made the British Army so successful.
