Nothing has been decided about how the Regimental Association for the new Regiment will be organised and where the various Branches will be located.
It is still not known whether or not the current individual Regimental Associations will continue to exist or whether they will be amalgamated into one super Regimental Association.
However, it has been mooted that all existing Regimental Associations will continue in their current form and anyone joining a battalion after the new regiment is formed will be eligible to join that Battalion's Association and also a new Royal Regiment of Scotland Association.
It is hoped that the current individual Regimental Magazines will continue for each battalion. A new magazine, representing the whole Scottish Division, may be published as the journal of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
