Have just read and heartily agree with the actions of the Thorold Ontario pipe band. A small protest perhaps, but landslides start with one pebble shifting.

Perhaps the Royal British Legion should drop the prefix "Royal" from their name in protest. Holders of Royal Warrants could return and drop the references, to them.

Unfortunately, today most monarchies are constitutional, the monarch having absolutely no power to do anything. Maybe it's time for Her Majesty to stand up and say NO to her "advisors", constitution be damned.

But we, and I include all Commonwealth citizens here, and others of like sentiments, should do all we can to assist our Scots kin to save the regiments.

God knows, they've killed enough by amalgamation as it is.
